Litigation
The Litigation Group of CWM has an uncompromising strategy: we strive for the earliest, most favorable and cost-effective outcome possible for our clients. In about 90% of cases, the firm achieves early resolution of claims, either through summary judgment, mediation or settlement, thus avoiding the attendant high costs of trial and trial preparation.
However, not every case can be resolved outside the courthouse. When our client determines that trial is the best course of action, it is with the confidence instilled by the experience and ability of our seasoned trial attorneys. The firm’s Litigation Group is known for successfully championing its clients’ interest at trial, whether before judge or jury, in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies.
The attorneys who comprise the firm’s Litigation Group provide clients with an outstanding level of practical and legal expertise. Among these attorneys, two are former commissioned officers in the United States Military, one recently served as Chair of the Civil Litigation Council for the Virginia Bar Association and several have been recognized for their practice-specific expertise in Best Lawyers in America and in the annual Virginia’s Legal Elite, published by Virginia Business magazine. These skilled professionals represent clients’ interests across a broad spectrum of industries including banking, construction, creditors’ rights, employment, environmental, government contracts, insurance, manufacturing, maritime, railroads, real estate and services.
While our overarching concern is to help our clients avoid the expense of courtroom battles, clients are assured of the exceptional care, competence and zeal with which Crenshaw, Ware & Martin’s attorneys pursue favorable resolution at trial when necessary.
